Well, it’s the end of 2021. Tomorrow is the last day of the year and what a year it was!

I’m planning on a quiet celebration that will bring me full force into 2022. Maybe a glass of champagne will help ring in the new year. How about you? What are your plans for jumping into 2022 with both feet firmly on the ground and looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead? Where will this new path before you lead?

All I can say is…embrace it! Go for it! What have you got to lose? Adventure and new opportunities await! Whether you have plans for exciting travel or new wines to taste and share…it will be amazing!

In the next year, I’m hoping to put together a wine tasting kit that will be available through my Etsy page with a link right here on my blog. It’s still in the works but it will be a fun and educational way to share your thoughts and tastes about wine with your friends and family. We can even pick the wines you want to try together! Anyway, more to come on that…just wanted to give you a teaser!

Back to New Year’s Eve…I’m planning on celebrating with a chilled glass of champagne from France (of course).

And though I’d love to go to New York City and watch the ball drop in Times Square in person, I’ll settle for my couch, a fire, some cozy socks and a blanket, and the many channels that will entertain me and count me down to that magical hour of midnight. I like to switch channels back and forth to try and capture all the NYE celebrations from around the country. This year’s line up:

  • New York City – Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacreast on ABC and New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on CNN
  • Miami – Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party with Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson on NBC
  • Nashville – New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash with Bobby Bones and Rachel Smith on CBS

My food of choice will be Chinese take-out. Come on…what’s better than Chinese take-out on New Year’s Eve? It’s easy and delicious.

From the Wine Bohemian, I hope all your New Year’s celebrations are fun, exciting, and joyous! Please be safe out there. Let’s look to the New Year with anticipation, exhilaration, and new plans to make 2022 the best year ever!

    Peace and Joy to everyone!

    Happy New Year 2022! Cheers!
