The Wine

Before we embark on this awesome adventure together, I’d like to share a little bit about me. My name is Donna and I’m a wine fanatic! I think I had my first glass of wine when I was in my twenties. It wasn’t the best the world has to offer but it got me wondering… what do I actually like and not like about it.  It was a sweet, pink wine and I wasn’t very fond of the flavor but everyone else seemed to think it was the best thing they had ever tasted. What was wrong with my taste buds? Was I missing something? So, I decided to experiment with other varietials of wines and I found that my palate was becoming evolved! I discovered that I really liked non-sweet or dry wines (either red or white). What a discovery! My love of wine exploded from there. I became educated in the ways of wine and earned my WSET Level 2 and American Wine Expert certifications. I plan on continuing my studies to take in as much information about wine as I can. I’m a passionate wine lover but I also really enjoy my other “habits”: travel and musical theatre. They keep me curious about the world and creative in my life. Well, that’s me in a nutshell. Please join me, The Wine Bohemian, on my quest for adventure and the best wines from around the world and across the US.
